The Jewish people remember at every moment their enslavement in Egypt. "You shall not wrong a stranger or oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.:" (Exodus 22:20). We understand that all must be free from the oppression of narrow-mindedness so that we may worship our God as we make our way to our Promised Land.

We believe in the fundamental rights of all people to freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, and the freedom to give expression to their own truths so long as these truths are just and peaceful.

We also recognize that slavery continues today and that we must hear the Divine call to free all those who are enslaved and ensure that all people are treated with dignity and respect.

"You shall proclaim release throughout the land for all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you: each of you shall return to his holding and each of you shall return to his family." -Leviticus 25:10

"Everyone who can protest the sin of his household and does not, is responsible for the people of his household. For the people of his city, he is responsible for the people of his city. For the whole world, he is responsible for the whole world...." -Shabbat 54b

Religious Freedom - We believe in the rights of all people to practice their religion freely, safely, and without threat. We also support a complete separation of church and state. We will oppose any legislation or bigotry which seeks to attack based on a person's religious beliefs.

Immigration Reform - We support a more modern and equitable system of immigration that recognizes the strength immigrants lend to our communities, economy and families. We demand fair and just treatment of all immigrants.
